I received this product today. I was very excited. I recently adopted a very good boy from the local SPCA and he is a great dog but I would awaken to him shaking my entire bed kicking and biting himself vigorously. I was also itching. I could see fleas climbing in his fur. It started coming off in tufts. He kicked himself until he bled. He was on the prevantative flea treatment but it didn't seem to help much if at all.
Generally I'd bathe a dog with such a problem with some flea shampoo but he had recently been neutered and the incision could not get wet.
I order this bottle as well as the wipes. They got here in a day. I sprayed my dog a few times, wiped him down with two wipes and NO MORE SCRATCHING.
My dog is comfortable so I am happy.
Couple things I'd like to add:
There is no mist option on the sprayer. It's a jet of formula. Not pleasant for the dog being sprayed.
The smell is waaay too strong. Gives me a headache. Can't imagine that is pleasant for the animal.
I could've really used a smaller bottle. It's going to take me years to go through this one. These people talking about using 3-6 bottles are lunatics.
Toxic to cats so be careful.
Im happy with my purchase but probably could've gone with either the wipes or spray. Don't really need both. Really don't mind the smell but does it have to be so STRONG?

Bought this during the recent dry spell in Florida after finding fleas on my dogs for the first time every. Washed everything that was washable that they come into contact with and what was not washable I vacuumed then I applied this to everything including my new upholstered couch. Then put diatomaceous earth under all their bedding and around and under furniture. Four weeks and so far no fleas. I also put the DE in the lawn and flower beds. I lapsed in applying flea and tick topical Med before this incident. Dogs were bathed in flea shampoo and then waited three days to apply the Med. I thought the smell was pleasant but my daughter came over and said the smell was overpowering so we opened the patio doors and dined outside. Sitting outside with the door open I could smell this stuff and it was strong but I figure it beats chemical use in the house. Would definitely purchase this again if I found fleas but hope never again to see these bugs.

This is not a perfect product but ultimately decided to give it a 4-Star based on the fact that I've seen it kill ticks and is fairly cheap.
I'll start with what I don't like. It's a product for dogs that could potentially be toxic to cats. That's fine if you are a dog owner with no cats. But, I have a dog and cats. Therefore, I don't feel this would be safe to spray indoors. Also, the natural essential oil sprays are not that effective if you have an infestation indoors. They will probably kill any ticks you spray directly but has no residual killing effect for ticks not sprayed directly. In addition, I don't even want to spray my whole dogs body with it because he hangs out with the cats. I know they also have a spray for cats but I don't want to buy that to put on my dog.
What I did do is use it to dunk his paws in every few days. He doesn't allow me to handle his feet too much plus his hair is a bit longer in that area. It would be really hard for me to spot a tick there under normal circumstances, until it's completely engorged. Before I started using this, that's what happened.
So, what I have done is pour this in a mason jar and once every 2-3 days, I will stick each of his legs in the jar briefly outside, while we're heading out for our walk. During the walk, he gets off excess of this, plus the stink of the cloves dissipates a bit. Also, ticks from outdoors won't crawl onto his paws. That does help to limit my cats exposure while killing any ticks that happen to have been on his legs and repel new ones.
So, while it hasn't worked as a total solution for me, it's really helped a lot. That's the only thing I have used it for but appreciative for that one purpose.

My German Shepard has very sensitive skin and gut due to having Guardia in his first two years of life. He reacts to collars, chewables, and the monthly liquid drops that you put at their necks. Multiple horror stories about all these have pushed me toward the naturals as well. If you follow the instructions, give your longer haired dogs a good brushing first, and really rub it in, in our case, it has worked very well. My big boy loves to fetch sticks, run in the leaves, play in the forests of Arkansas. I spray him all over, then in my gloved hands to get his underside, arm pits and around his head, ears, and tail. I am guilty of spraying him much less often than I should, like every 4 days or so. I rated it 4 stars as the sprayer has leaked around the actual sprayer head itself, since I first started using it. That has been a pain, otherwise, very happy with this product and it doesn’t make my dog sick!

When I applied this I could see some dead fleas. For ticks however, this thing doesn't seem to kill them outright. The ticks however, would crawl out instead and I have to kill them each time or bath my dogs to get rid of the ticks. The problem is it works for sometime but few days after I the fleas would come back again after they went outside. That means you have to apply them each time before letting your dogs go outside to play. I guess I have to buy the one that could clear the garden. The smell is extremely strong. Sometimes I have to spray on my bed my dogs would sleep on my bed. Sometimes one or two fleas are jumping around on me at night. The only way to avoid this annoying problem is to spray the bed after washing them and set the fan to the highest to blow from your feet. This only happened during summer time and not winter. Beside using spray I have to use the oral medication to kill fleas/ticks.

All I can say is YES, IT WORKS. My neighbor has outside dogs, and they got fleas. To get them out of the fleas, she brought them inside and did nothing about the yard. Next thing I knew, I had fleas everywhere. I walked out my door, and they jumped all over me by the hundreds. They got in my car. They got in my house. They got on my 3 kitties, and although Revolution killed them, for the first time in his life, my 13.5 year old kitty had fleas, and he was miserable and told me about it. Adding to my frustration, I had fleas, and I cannot use Revolution! With an old cat, a cat with seizures and a 6.5 pound kitty, I didn't want to do bombs or spray any of those dangerous chemicals. So, I turned to Amazon, and that's where I found Vets Best. I read the reviews that said peppermint oil is bad for cats, but it's only .3%, and it's formulated by vets. I have to believe vets would not do something harmful to cats. Others said the cats didn't like the smell and wouldn't sleep in their beds after being sprayed. Cats can be persnickety. Others said the smell was awful and took weeks to dissipate. While I cannot speak for everybody, I can say it smells like peppermint and cloves. If you don't like that smell, think about whether or not you want to put up with a distasteful smell for a day, which is as long as the smell lasted at my house, with NO fleas or keep having fleas. It's nothing short of miraculous. I put my kitties in the bathroom, sprayed the house, sniffed and thought, it's not bad and opened the bathroom door. Only one cat out of three, and of course it was my ultra-spoiled baby, was a bit disdainful. The other two dashed right out of the bathroom and jumped on their freshly sprayed cat trees. I had to pick up the baby and take her to the cat tree. Then again, that's sort of usual and may have nothing to do with the smell of peppermint and cloves. I then went and sat down in my favorite chair and waited to be covered in fleas again, but nothing happened. This was within 15 minutes of spraying that room. Two weeks later, I saw a weakling flea on my counter-top, killed it and sprayed more Vets Best. It's been over two weeks, and I've not seen another flea. My cats are flea-less. I'm flea-less. My car is flea-less, also thanks to Vets Best. Therefore, I'm here to tell you this is a fabulous product. Just spray lightly. You don't have to soak everything. All I did was started in one corner of the room and squeezed the trigger while my arm swung back and forth in front of me as I was backing up. End result...NO MORE FLEAS!!!

This product is fantastic. I was skeptical due to "natural ingredients" but bought it based off other reviews and pictures. I have a dog and 2 cats. The cats get their regular flea meds on their backs so when I noticed my dog had fleas I put their regular flea med on their back and they had no problems. But I turned my dog (11lb mix) on his back and saw 4 huge fleas run across his belly...Eww. Regular flea bath, and flea med on his back didn't do much due to them jumping back on him from the house or jumping off him and on me...eww.
When the product arrived I sprayed down my couch, rugs, pillows, blankets, his & my bedding, etc. Then I placed 2 white bath mats on either side of my bed and sprayed them. There were about 12-15 dead fleas on both bath mats about an hour or so later. I then vacuumed my couch and carpets, and washed bedding etc.
This product left no stains. Everything came out like new. I also put a small amount of water and 1 spray into a bowl and went to work going through my dogs fur picking out fleas and putting them in the bowl. (See picture-just proving point-a picture is worth 1,000 words). I did this because not only does my dog hate baths/water/being sprayed but also I did not want them jumping off him into me or the couch/carpet. I ran out after spraying entire apartment and car.
Since my dog could not be sprayed, I also sprayed a brush and comb and brushed him. That helped. Unfortunately I did not get all flea/flea eggs off my dog, they returned, and he got them again, but only mild amount.
I love this product. I just ordered 2 more bottles. I am going to kill them all this time :) Actually kills fleas on contact. I put a light on white bath mat/towel to attract them and sprayed. Helped tremendously. This product is a life saver during Flea season in the sauna summer of Houston. I 100% recommend this product.

Unbelievable. Really didn't think this would work. Seems too easy.
My dog rolled around in some poops because he is a maniac. Well one of those squirrel poops must have been fresh and had some friends on it because about two days later I noticed something crawling on him. He's never had fleas or anything before and he doesn't really get along with other dogs so he hasn't been in a position to get them before. Sure as poop, he had three fleas on him. Flea bath and crazy cleaning did nothing.
Ordered this on a whim because I was just getting angry and felt gross about having fleas in the house. Bathed him again, sprayed him down, washed all the linens and sprayed them down, and sprayed all the curtains, couches, beds and carpets. Vacuumed once and changed the bag. Didn't see another flea after that. I kept up doing this for about a week anyway just to be careful, but I haven't seen anything since and it has been over a month now.
Bought three more to keep just in case he decides to get one with nature again. Plus, this stuff actually smells pretty nice to me, kind of like mint and tea tree oil.

I was incredibly sceptical this would work. In the past I had read pest product reviews and made a purchase and had either no success with the product or exceptionally low.
4 years ago I had a flea infestation. Trying to deal with it was a nightmare - we used Diatomaceous Earth, frontline and capstar to slowly erode away at the flea population - it was a miserable time.
Before we had gotten there I tried sooooo many over the counter options and not a dent. So I've been hyper dilegent since, but when we found a flea on our dogs (despite the fact they're on monthly prescription treatment), and my son then showed me his feet (his room is always extra warm from the computer and his reptile enclosure), I was absolutely horrified to see he had the worst infestation he of course didn't mention until it got bad... I just freaked out a bit and dreaded having to go through this all over again.
Anyhow, bought this product and as the other commenters mentioned it kills adult fleas dead in mere moments and the smell isn't horrid. I'm not sure about fleas in any other cycle as that'll be evident with time but it was nice to walk through his room after a couple days of treating and not get attacked.
I've had to buy x3 bottles so far but totally worth it. I'll update once I see the last of the fleas but this is so much less painful than my Diatomaceous Earth
experience at least (which ruined our carpets and broke our vacuums).

I have found that using this on my furniture, along with the same brand WIPES have worked so well with killing fleas! i don't have an extreme house infestation but my kitties had suffered enough and it was time to try everything i could! I used frontline plus given them all kinds of baths and combed but nothing was working on these Michigan fleas! This stuff helped so much! i sprayed it into every corner, covering every inch of my house (2 floors) into drawers and all closets, shoes, and furniture. Along with other products as well but this seemed to work better than the rest, how do i know? before i flea fogged the entire house or used any other products, i used this first. As i was taking apart the sofa to start fogging, i found 2 dead fleas on the inner sofa cushion after spraying the day before! not only that, but after giving my cats a flea shampoo bath, i used the VETS BEST WIPES, to catch whatever fleas jump off the cats and stuck them onto the wipes and BOOM THEY DEID INSTANTLY! i have a picture of the wipe i used that day!
I have now used up 3 bottles and have one still half way full, i spray on occasion and use the wipes on my cats when i comb them! so happy im gonna need more wipes just to have
on hand but thank you VETS BEST! IM SO HAPPY SOMETHING WORKS!
FYI I'm not at all biased or getting any kind of discount for my items, i am simply someone who has done everything, washed every cloth in the house, poisoned herself trying to kill off my cats fleas for months and trying to give credit where it is due and helping those who are in my shoes! HAPPY FLEA HUNTING!

I had a flea problem which quickly got out of control. My wife is a naturopathic doctor and would not allow me to spray any chemicals in the house, but I was having a very hard time getting the issue under control. Here was my solution: I bought a bottle of Vet's Best and poured the whole thing into my Wagner paint sprayer. I then put on a respirator and went through the house spraying every area where fleas could be. It only look me about 5 minutes to spray the whole bottle. The air was essentially not breathable without the dust mask. The whole house was filled with clove and peppermint mist. I then left for a couple hours with the windows closed. I separately treated my dog and cat, and that was the end of the flea infestation. The house smelled like herbal tea for like a day, but dissipated surprisingly quickly.

WATCHING THIS PRODUCT WORK IS INSANE. My neighbors behind my house like to go hunting for wild boars and that brought LOTS of fleas to my dog. I felt so sad for him! His coat is not near as nice as it used to be. I originally got this for inside the house because I feel like I just get eaten alive! I used it on my dog first and you can see it WORKING INSTANTLY! All of the fleas were coming up to the surface and dead! It was crazy!

An unusually warm winter and 3 pets lead up to a large scale flea infestation. Yesterday I had fleas on my feet biting me every 3 minutes. 4 fleas would ambush me every time I walked into the bathroom. Cleaning did nothing to defend me. Words could not begin to touch the malace I had for these fleas. Treating my cat with the strongest of things only to have her groom off half of her coat to stop the itching. Waking up scratching my legs till blood ran down. I was ready to kill every last one of them.
I overnighted 6 bottles of this stuff and prepared for war. Every bite brought that satisfaction that soon I would cause a painful death to every flea in my house. Then I set to it. Music in my ears. A bottle in each hand. I sprayed every square inch of my two story home. Working my way through every room until I reached my own. Taking off my shoes socks and pants just to bait those bloodsucking fiends. Gleefully I sprayed my legs and went to work. I would watch a flea be hit. Jump twice and fall to the ground flat and lifeless. I killed hundreds, maybe thousands, of them in the span of 15 minutes. Generations, a whole bloodline, massacred simply and efficiently.
I cannot recommend this more. Wreak havoc and unleash the dogs of war. The days of fleas are numbered.
